2015, December
- Fortnum & Mason, London

From the summit of Everest to the heart of Piccadilly - Kenton Cool brings us his story at Fortnum & Mason.
The evening of December 9th 2015 - "Gentlemen's Shopping Evening" par excellance, was a first for the menswear floor at Fortnum & Mason, bringing friends and relations together to shop for their loved ones; to find them that Christmas present that would be really appreciated and not sent straight to the recycle drawer!
|
|
The third floor was a hive of activity with many bespoke sessions laid on to inspire: from the personalisation of fine cotton socks from The London Sock Company, tasting rare whisky whilst having the ultimate wet shave on the spot and the embossing of Ghurka's luggage where Kenton Cool - the ultimate traveller - did a book signing of his recently published One Man's Everest.

Top model David Gandy looked effortlessly chic as he did his Christmas shopping and London's leading menswear opinion leader, Dylan Jones, editor of British GQ, made himself available to give the best advice and fashion guidance to all. Dylan Jones and Jo Newton, Head Buyer at Fortnums, were on hand to give away the two raffle prizes. A hamper stuffed with Fortnums finest, and worth £1000 and a Cavalier Ghurka bag which also worth £1000. The lucky winners were of course delighted and were able to celebrate with a glass or two of Fortnum & Mason Blanc de Blanc whilst sampling the famous Fortnums Scotch Egg and delicious cheese and chutney.

For Kenton it was a welcome change from the harsh
icy
worlds that he explores
,
but he did remark that he felt a new
Gieves & Hawkes
suit was in order to keep up with Dylan and David
.
